I designed and delivered a UX vision for product bundles to increase bundle discoverability and introduces bundle customization features. Having this vision aligned on cross-team and cross-org unblocked our engineering teams' planning and help set the roadmap for product team.

Challenges

The Bundles product team needed to decide what their roadmap would look like for the next few years, but weren't sure what problems were most pressing for customers. Engineering was planning to rebuild their backend architecture but needed to know what kind of features should be supported. Product came to me looking for support in identifying where to improve the bundle experience for customers.

Solution

Under a tight timeline I provided my team an achievable, near-term UX vision for bundles that was backed up with research and data. This vision consisted of synthesized UX research, competitive gap analyses, and a series of proposed UX improvements for bundles focusing on customization and discoverability.

Outcomes

The Bundles 3-year vision was presented to senior leadership in Amazon Retail and shared out to our partner teams to communicate the direction of our program. Having this vision aligned on cross-team and cross-org unblocked our engineering teams' planning and help set the roadmap for product team.
